Dear CLASS Academy families,
Welcome to CAPA, the CLASS Academy Parent Association. As a parent of a CLASS
student you are automatically a member of CAPA. Currently, the Board of CAPA
consists of a President, Treasurer and Secretary. The main committees include fund
raising, parent-liaisons, marketing, after-school programs and maintenance.
All CAPA meetings are open to any and all parents and we encourage your attendance
and participation. Think of us as your PTA. CAPA is a non-profit entity whose mission
is to support the school. We do this in many ways not the least of which is financial.
CAPA supports teachers by paying for books and supplies as well as providing a
discretionary educational fund for each class. We also help organize parent
participation in events such as maintenance days, the Spring performance and after
school programs and activities.
Your contributions of time and energy are greatly appreciated. Your opinions are
welcome. Join us for monthly meetings or volunteer for activities that support the
school while spending more time with your kids. Come once, come every month, or join
a committee and participate in the activities you enjoy most. Email an officer or
committee chair if you are unable to attend a meeting; we'll find a way to help you
become involved.
