Reopening During COVID-19
When ~ Beginning Tuesday, July 7th we will reopen our doors to in-person instruction
phased opening ~ Our hours of operation will be revised to Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4pm.
Friday will be a distance learning day with 1on1 meetings for students. The school day will run 8:30am - 2:30pm/3:45pm depending on the cohort
precautions ~ See below for how we are approaching safety for our students and community.
"The changes you will see upon opening are to ensure that our in-person instruction minimizes public health risks and maximizes safety for our students, staff, and parent community. Beyond safety, our focus moving forward is going to be on cultivating connections, relationships, and learning in innovative ways. In this communication our aim is to give you a peace of mind with what our precautions will entail.
What does this look like?
This plan acknowledges the desire to return to “normal”. However, in order to do so, we need to put our priorities first: safety and the well-being of our children, staff, working families, especially essential workers, and the economic health of society.
The specific guidance from the state has given us the blueprint for opening our doors this summer in a safe manner. We hope to resume to a typical schedule after August but will wait until the state gives us the approval.
Our first phase of reopening will have many protocols in place. I say “first phase” as I’m sure we will need to adapt and adjust things as we learn what works and what doesn’t. View those protocols here.
