Distance Learning School Wide

Lower School~ 4 hours of E-Learning via ClassDojo, Zoom, and additional content.
Middle  School:  ~ 4-5 hours of E-Learning via ClassDojo, Zoom, and additional content.
Upper School:  ~ 5-6 hours of E-Learning via Google Classroom, Zoom, and additional content.

Although our doors are closed, students and teachers are fully immersed in e-learning. CLASS Academy is continuing to engage as a community and provide our students with the connections needed to maintain a successful academic, social, and emotional experience. Below are resources and information that we hope will be helpful to our immediate and broader community as we navigate this challenging time.

What does this look like?

Students spend time in daily video conference classes with their teachers and classmates multiple times a day.

Students are also given independent assignments to complete and submit back to their teacher for review and feedback. Assignments and hours are arranged specifically by grade and reflect the time it should take for a student to understand the materials being studied.

Resources...

First and foremost, establish a routine that works for you and your family. We are all creatures of habit and without a schedule or routine our daily tasks, emotions, and overall well-being gets thrown off course.

Make certain your routine includes individual and family breaks throughout the day. Look to also include a minimum of 30 minutes of active time, such as, walks, bike rides, and dance parties. All while observing recommended social distancing of course.

OMSI has fantastic resources for students to stay engaged with Science.
